RIPS visit to Warham

Friday 10th August 2007

The groups split into two; this report comes from the experiences of Dave, Glow Worm, Vicky, Black Swan and a guest Alan, who lives in the village.

Old Post Office – now a B&B

9.15pm
Breakfast Room

A definite vortex could be felt in front of the doorway to the sitting room.  Very cold around that point.

David had strong feeling that there were underground works;  Glow Worm also feels that there must be cellars – can smell a horrible, foisty smell.

Vicky’s legs felt warm; strong energy around her; felt like a “stampede” of some description.  She also felt the presence of an old lady (from the 1800’s – Elspeth?) who worked here for many years – who wouldn’t give up working.  A strong minded person who kept birds/animals.  Vicky asked her to make herself known .. she shuffled over to Glow Worm – lights turned off outside.  She was very lonely, but popular with everyone in the village; wore a green cardigan; not a very clean person; had ulcered legs, thick legs all bumpy and swollen; wore men’s slippers!  She put her hand on Glow Worms breast.  Vicky feels that this was Elspeth’s home – frequently visits as spirit.

Glow Worm felt hands going up and down her back

Alan felt dizzy/wobbly – the name Eleanor came through strongly to him – thinks she had a bad hip.

At this point the owners arrived.  They don’t feel anything, but some guests say bedroom 1 must be haunted – and when she cleans the bathroom, the hair on her arms stands on end!

9.30pm
Sitting Room

Glow Worm is convinced there something underground – water?

Vicky felt wobbly; also felt there’d been flooding?

Dave asked the owners if there’d been any Royal visits?  The owner said that the Queen Mum used to visit, but Dave felt it was earlier than this – say Queen Victoria?

Alan could hear the sound of hooves – was this a through-way?  The pub was a coaching inn at one point.

Vicky felt that deliveries were made in this room.

Glow Worm felt that someone who came here used to “pull teeth” – used to strap down his patients; straw on the floor; dogs running around; 1786; a big man, with a big leather belt; feels as though he “does everything”; has a big black chair; she can smell blood

Vicky could “see” him with string tied round the bottom of his trousers – to stop the rats climbing up his legs; felt that a lot of people trusted him – he could have been the dentist, doctor or barber.  Arthur?  Had a belly laugh and was left-handed!

Glow Worm had a sharp pain in her tooth and Vicky had a pain in her arm.

The owner of the B&B said that when she cleans in the pub in the morning, there’s a really lovely smell in there – but only at that time.  There’s also a bit of a haze in the pub as well.

Bedroom 1

All felt that this was a “sick room”/ felt the presence of children; someone with sore eyelids – a boy called Jimmy?  A nurse and two little girls were also felt – they all mothered Jimmy.  Nice children, but the mother didn’t care for them too much – the nurse was the mother-figure …sitting in a chair with James on her lap, singing to him.  She had some milk, not to drink –but to bathe his eye.
James like to look out of the window – not totally blind – the cool wind soothed his eyes.

Vicky felt very hot – like a fever – feels connected to James.  Glow Worm felt like her arm was in a sling.  Dave “saw” a man dying on the bed – bad throat – which started to affect Vicky – she began to cough.

Cots in the corner with the nanny – well brought-up and trusted person.  Not tatty children – well-to-do.  The mother loved her children, but couldn’t cope with the sickness.  They all loved the old man.

Bedroom 2

Dave felt that someone had died in here – there’d been an argument – she’d died alone.  Felt there’d been a lot of crying and weeping.  It took her a while to move-on.  She liked blue.  Date possibly early 1800’s late 1700’s – Sharpe’s time. Dave said she had a daughter, who’d been taken away from her, but they’d been reunited.  Vicky got the name: Jessica Hammond – her daughter was called Emma.

Gloworm thought this might have been the servant’s quarters.  Vicky was being shown a necklace – a gift from a man.  Thick chain – felt it had been stolen.

Gloworm saw a large wooden cross coming down on her – as we were leaving the room the owner of the B&B turned on the lights and every single picture had a religious theme!

Single bedroom on the left

Feels like a happy room; lots of love and romance; lots of good energy.  Belonged to a  “connected” couple

Single bedroom on the right

We all felt that this used to be one big room with the other single bedroom.  Not as “happy” a room as the other.  It’s as if it misses it’s other half – needs to be/wants to be knocked through.  An emotionless room.  Vicky could see a little kitten (a Tom) winding round her legs.

Left the B&B at 10.15pm

In the pub

Dave’s feeling of the presence of Royalty was confirmed when we went into the pub – one of the rooms was full of Royal photos!

In the main sitting area, we started a Séance, but were joined by Carla, Stuart and another lady (Angela?).  Gloworm asked Vicky to be the Controller.

Vicky and Gloworm picked up a young female energy who had a message for someone at our table, she had passed-over in her teens.  The glass went straight to Stuart.  Several other questions were asked and it was ascertained that the message for Stuart was to do with the loss of a child, connected to his family.  After these initial positive responses the questions and answers didn’t seem to be getting any closer to identifying the spirit, so Vicky thanked the spirit for coming forward and asked her to stand back to let another spirit come through.

Vicky asked if there were any other spirits present for anyone round the table and the glass shot back to Stuart!  Vicky and Gloworm felt that it was the same young female energy who’d come back, so Vicky asked Stuart to put his hand on the glass, as she felt there was a very strong connection here, that the spirit had a close relationship with him, not his daughter, but very close.

Carla asked the spirit if “she” was Stuart’s son – a very positive yes was the response as the glass shot back to Stuart!  It can be quite tricky to differentiate between young female and male energies, but now we were clear that it was a male energy.

The momentum was back – this was a young boy who had died when he was 15 years old.  Gloworm asked Stuart if he ever felt a tickling sensation around his head/ears when in the bathroom?  Yes he had.  She felt this boy was a bit of a “Jack the Lad”, full of fun, who liked to make everyone laugh.

Gloworm asked:

…. if he’d come through to Stuart to prove that there is life after death?  Yes
…. was he here to tell his Dad that he was happy now; that he wasn’t suffering, that he was at peace and loved his Dad?  Yes
Hhe came through to prove to Stuart that there life after death – that he’d survived – and that he was with him now at his right shoulder.

Vicky thanked him for coming through (again) and asked him to stand back to allow other spirits to come through.

She started the process again – but the message was for Stuart again!  And it was definitely the same spirit –his son.  So this time we tried to ascertain his name.  We started at the beginning of the alphabet.  The glass juddered at G, but when we got to J it was a definite yes!  We tried to pick up his name, but without success.  Eventually Stuart told us that his son’s name was Josh.  The glass had been whizzing round the table in circles – Josh was disappointed that we hadn’t managed to pick up his name.  He’s a very lively spirit.  He hasn’t finished what he wants to say! Angela said that Josh was getting angry as Stuart thought we were pushing the glass round the table and not Josh himself.

Gloworm asked if it was a sudden death?  Yes.

Vicky asked if he used to go fishing with his dad?  Josh wanted to ask his Dad a question …

Was there something you needed to tell your Dad before you passed?  Yes
That you loved him?  Yes

Gloworm picked up what he (Josh) was thinking – that his sudden death had been a terrible shock to everyone; that he always had his arms around his Dad’s neck and that he’s always loved him; Josh was blaming himself for what happened, but was asking for forgiveness – please don’t blame him.  He wasn’t ready to go, but he’s fine now.  Stuart said that he does forgive him and loves him.  Josh said he was happy to rest now and was ready to go to The Light.  He has been waiting for this moment to communicate with his Dad, to tell him he loved him and to ask for forgiveness.

With his permission, we sent him to The Light …. but he will always be with Stuart.
